Last in

As I didn't really have the time to go shopping, I rather enjoyed sales on line. I usually never have problems shopping on line: I must be a very standard size therefore everything I buy usually fits me quite well and it's very rare that I have to return items.
Last week I had a look on Asos. I love this site as they have clothes that are sold out everywhere else and shipping is free. So it's easier: I never have the problem to like a little item costing 3€ for instance and have to pay a 7€ delivery. Or to think to group my purchases. The only problem with Asos, in my opinion, is that they have so many things it's easy to get lost among all the items they sell! ;)
And here we are, I just received my pack with all my little treasures:
A pair of bracelets Love/Hate. I've immediately felt in love with them, my boyfriend have immediately found them horrible…lol! What do you think? Yay or nay?

Black and white bikini from New Look. You see, this bikini was sold out in all the New Looks shops in Paris as well as on the website, but Asos saved me! ;)

A little summer dress, I can't wait to wear. These colors are not usual for me, I tend to wear more flashy dresses, especially in the summer, but I love lace and naked backs!
The only problem is that now I really would need a pair of black wedges to go with the dress...That's the matter with shopping: an item calls another! ;)

And finally a headband with stones, to feel like a princess! ;)

Rome : getting around

After having showed you the outfits from my weekend in Rome, here are some pictures of the weekend itself. We spent a day in Rome to play tourists. I always lived in Rome, before arriving in Paris, and to me lots of things seems normal whereas they're actually quite extraordinary. Walking down the street and suddenly facing a 2.000 years old monument, full of history...it's just natural. Therefore I like to re-discover the city through the eyes of someone who doesn't know it. It allows me to marvel again and realize its beauty.

We could also visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. I had been there once when I was a child and the only memory I had was me getting sick because of the crowd and the heat. I've always wanted to go back, but the permanently endless queue at the entrance always discouraged me. This time we booked our tickets online and we took tickets for the late night visit (it's open on Friday night but just in the summer time) and then...surprise! The museum was almost empty - funny thing I met some old friends from primary school! - and we could visit quietly and enjoy it. (Unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me, believing, wrongly, that it was forbidden to take pictures. So I can just show you some poor quality pictures taken with my iPhone. But I must say these photos don't really reflect the beauty of the place).

I really loved this courtyard and this plant, it was so peaceful
We ate way too much pasta and drank too much crema di caffé, a sort of delicious iced coffee, I can'y find anywhere in Paris! :(

Tonnarelli Cacio e pepe, my favorite pasta!
We spent the remaining days in the countryside near Rome.
All my friends came on Saturday and we had a great day chatting, eating, keeping ourselves up-to-date on the latest gossip and relaxing in the sunny garden...

Just bothered occasionally by Folgore, who really wanted to play and couldn't keep still!

In the late afternoon we took a walk through the old village of Mazzano, before joining my dad for a pizza all together.

On Sunday we spent again the day in the countryside, but this time in Umbria, to see my best friend. She just moved there and is renovating a house in the woods to make a yoga and meditation center with her boyfriend.
I also discovered the nice village and the beautiful lake of Trevignano, where I had never been. My only regret is not having discovered it earlier otherwise I would surely have gone to the beach there to swim and sunbath...but I'll be back soon! ;)

And then I leave you with this wise principle :D

Zara asymmetrical short

This little short has been seen a lot this season…And here one more time!
I read it was sold out everywhere, but actually I went to Zara one afternoon and there were plenty! I really love it, it's so comfortable and I think this asymmetrical cut is kind of flattering. I would like to have it in electric blue too, but I bought mine already three weeks ago, so I think I'm not going to find another one left now! ;p

And a variation on the same theme:
I was in the countryside in Italy in this pictures and this beautiful and playful dog is Folgore, my dad's one.

Short: Zara
1st top: Bershka
2nd top: It Hippie
Flat sandals: C'M Paris
Sunglasses: Bulgari
Bag: Chanel
1st silhouette's jewelry: vintage necklace and bracelet + souvenir bracelets from Lourdes + H&M rings
2nd silhouette's jewelry: Moroccan necklace + souvenir bracelets from Lourdes + H&M rings

Be carfeul girls (and boys)!

A couple of days ago, I received an e-mail from an actress follower asking for some advice as a "so-called producer" found her number on Internet and was now calling her quite often.
Therefore, I thought to write a post on this subject to remind you we always have to be very careful with people met on Internet.
It's true that Internet, social networks and actors' websites made easier to connect with people from the business and be aware of films in production and casting calls, but there are a lot of dishonest persons on the net too, fake auditions and fake profiles.
Whereas it can happen that someone can get in touch with you through Internet, most of the time people won't look for you: you have to apply for jobs, to look for an agent, to build a network, to work hard, to study and to get active!
Keep in mind that a too good and easy offer is 99.99% of the times a fake one : No one will offer you a lead role in a feature film or to be the face of a big company's advertising campaign without seeing you, just because you showreel is truly impressive or your pictures are just perfect. Those are some of the most common offers that you can receive by e-mail and if you go on answering these people, at a certain point you'll see that they're going to ask you for a small amount of money, that of course you will recover with the big pay you'll get once the job done, or for a copy of your ID and personal documents.
Even if a director or a casting finds your profile interesting and suitable for a role, you will have to audition to get the job (unless you're Meryl Streep, and still).
When I played in AXA short film, I've actually been contacted by Internet through Lademo du comédien website. The director's assistant sent me an e-mail with ALL the details about the production and the film to know if I could be interested in audition for a role. And when I said yes I was invited to a casting that took place in a room at the French employment agency for performing arts.
Without being paranoid, if someone gets in touch with you through internet, I suggest you to ask the name of the person, the company he/she works for, contact details and clearly for which purpose he/she's calling you. You can then make some researches on Google and websites such as IMDB or Unifrance. Keep in mind that you can also be given a fake name and details. Generally, I think that one can feel people and I guess the best thing to do is to trust your instinct.
If the person on the phone or by e-mail doesn't call you for a specific project but just to "chat" about the business or seems weird to you or make you feel uncomfortable, I suggest you to stop the conversation right away and clearly say that you don't want to be bother anymore. If there is not a concrete danger to talk to someone on the phone or by e-mail you don't want to waste your time and no one has time to waste.
If the person who got in touch with you invited you to an audition, everything is fine and the audition will be in a normal, safe place, don't stress out, just learn your lines, work on it and do you best to get the job!
If for instance it's a director who wants to meet to talk to you about his next project and he/she seems a serious person to you, you can obviously meet him/her – I mean there are honest people in this world – just make sure the meeting will take place in a safe place, like a coffee shop or an office, I mean don't go to someone's place for instance. And let a friend or boyfriend or family know where you are and at what time.
There's however in my opinion an exception to this "rule". If you have to audition for a students' film or a very low budget production, it can happen that the casting will take place at the director's place. If I don't agree with this practice - I think that it puts actresses in an uncomfortable position plus, even if one can't afford to pay a casting room, he can always meet people in a public place like a calm bar or a park or whatever - this is not a reason for not going to an audition. Again: try to get the more information you can on the project and the people involved (e.g.: once I asked for the script and the director didn't have it... Well I just refused to go to the casting, I mean a casting for what? There wasn't neither a screenplay yet!), tell someone where you are or ask a friend to come with you and always trust your instinct.
And don't believe people who promise you a big career with a less effort: this is a tough (but full of passion!!) business, too many actors for so many roles, and in order to get through it you have to work hard. And be a bit lucky too, I guess! So let's get to work and good luck! <3
Ps. If you want to share your experience or advice, don't hesitate to let your comments below or to send me an e-mail to write a guest post.
