June...on stage!

End of suspense… We're gonna begin to perform the play "Pour quelques centimètres de neige" every week-end of June, starting the 7^th-8^th, at the theatre Comédie Tour Eiffel, in Paris!! :D

I can't wait!! And I'm a bit scary too ;)

Then we'll play again from the month of September, always at the Comédie Tour Eiffel.

That's regarding me and the actors who have started working on the play with me. But the play will be performed also in Avignon this summer by the first team, who started performing this play one year ago.

I wait for you at the theatre!

Fin de la suspense… On va commencer à jouer la pièce "Pour quelques centimètres de neige" tous les week-end du mois de juin à partir de celui du 7-8 au théâtre Comédie Tour Eiffel, à Paris!! :D

J’ai trop hâte!! Et un peu peur ;)

Ensuite, on reprendra au mois de septembre toujours à la Comédie Tour Eiffel.

Ça pour ce qui concerne mon équipe. La pièce se jouera également à Avignon cet été avec la première équipe, qui joue cette pièce depuis un an déjà, sur scène.

Reorganization

I had the feeling that my blog was getting slightly confused and could benefit from being a bit more structured.

Here I talk about my life as an actress, as I’d like to show how a normal artist's life really is: not always glamorous, often difficult, but always exciting and full of passion!!

I talk about auditions, shootings, theatre… But the life of an actress is also full of empty moments, and in these moments I have other passions too, old ones as travels, dance, fashion, … And new ones as photography and painting, for instance. I think that my interest for photography came out from one of the empty moment in acting indeed.

I love sharing my passions and I realized I was talking about all that, in addition to the subjects more strictly related to my acting career, but I felt everything was a bit mixed up. That’s why I decided to create different categories in the blog, at least for the main subjects; probably some posts will remain "uncategorized"…

Have a look at the new menu bar at the top of the page: everything related to acting, cinema, auditions theatre, casting, shootings… well, my job, will obviously be in the "casting, shooting, working…" section.

Posts regarding fashion or beauty will be in the "Fashion & the actress" section.

Finally, everything regarding my travels, pictures and descriptions of places I’ve been to,… will be in the "Travels & the actress" section.

And you still have the "Love & the actress" one. I know it’s been a while since I updated it, but it seems I found someone special now… but I still have old stories to share ;)

That’s for the upcoming posts. I’m not sure I can categorize the old ones…

J’avais l’impression que mon blog était devenu un peu confus et aurait pu bénéficier du fait d’être un peu plus structuré.

Je parle ici de ma vie en tant que actrice, car je voudrais montrer comment la vie normale d’artiste est elle vraiment : pas toujours glamour, souvent difficile, mais toujours passionnante!!

Je raconte les auditions, les tournages, le théâtre…Mais la vie d’une actrice est aussi pleine de moments vides, et en ces moments j’ai aussi d’autres passions, certaines plus anciennes comme les voyages, la dance, la mode… Et d’autres nouvelles, comme ma passion pour la photographie et la peinture par exemple. Je pense d’ailleurs que mon intérêt pour la photographie est justement né suite  à un moment de vide dans ma vie d’actrice.

J’aime partager mes passions et je me suis rendue compte que je parlais de tout ça, en plus des sujets plus strictement liés à ma carrière d’actrice, mais j’avais l’impression que le tout devenait un peu désordonné. C’est pourquoi, j’ai décidé de créer de nouvelles catégories dans le blog, au moins pour les sujets principaux ; probablement certains posts resteront "sans catégorie"…

Jetez un œil à la nouvelle barre de menu en haut de la page : tout ce qui touche à la comédie, cinéma, auditions, théâtre, casting, tournages… enfin mon travail, sera, bien évidemment dans la section "casting, shooting, working…".

Les posts concernant la mode ou la beauté seront dans la catégorie "Fashion & the actress".

Enfin tout ce qui concerne mes voyages, photos et descriptions d’endroits visités,… sera dans la section "Travels & the actress".

Et vous avez toujours aussi la section "Love & the actress". Je sais, ça fait longtemps que je ne l’ai pas mise à jour,  mais il semble que j’ai trouvé la perle rare… Mais j’ai encore de vieilles histoire à partager ;)

Tout ça ne concerne que les nouveaux posts à venir. Je ne suis pas sure de pouvoir classer les anciens…

New showreel

I made the impossible: to edit a showreel lasting less than 2 minutes, as requested by my agent! 1 minute & 51 seconds to be precise! ;)

I also took the opportunity for including some extracts of the last movies in which I played. Have a good vision! :D

J'ai réussi l'impossible : monter une bande démo d'une durée inférieure à 2 minutes, comme demandé par mon agent! 1 minute et 51 secondes pour la précision! ;)

Du coup j'en ai profité aussi pour insérer des extraits des derniers films dans lesquels j'ai joué. Bonne vision!! :D

And the crazy hours of an actress life

On avait déjà parlé de la difficulté pour une actrice d’avoir une vie rangée à cause des horaires de travail décalés, des propositions de rôles à la dernière minute… je vous avais aussi fait part du fait qu’en mai j’avais été recrutée sur un spectacle à Disney… et bien si on prend le tout et on mixe… on obtient mes horaires de travail pour ledit spectacle, et une chose pareil je ne l'avais encore vue!
En effet… les répétitions seront de 20h00 à 5h00. Et oui dans le merveilleux monde de Disney la nuit doit être inversée avec le jour ;) J'ai beau réfléchir  je n’arrive toujours pas à comprendre les raisons d’un tel choix! 
Et le call time pour le spectacle est 4h00 – du matin évidemment – au parc!!! Mais pour le jour du spectacle ils sont gentils: ils enverront une voiture nous chercher! Espérons juste de ne pas s’endormir sur scène! ;p

We already talked about the difficulty for an actress to have a normal life due to staggered working hours, last minute roles' offers... I also told you that I had been hired on a show for Disney that will take place in May... Well, take all that, mix it up and you’ll obtain my working hours for that show, and that’s something I've never ever seen before!

Indeed...rehearsal well be from 8.00pm to 5.00am! Maybe in the wonderful world of Disney the night is reversed with the day! ;) I'm thinking, but I still can't understand the reasons of such a choice!

And the call time for the show is 4 o'clock - am of course - at the park. But for the day of the show they're nice: they’ll send a car to pick us up! Let's just hope not to fall asleep on the stage! ;p

Two is better than one

And the other week-end, in addition to the workshop with Doris Von Thury, I also found the time to audition for a new play…And to get the role!! :))

So now I’m gonna be on stage not on one but on two plays!! Which moreover are very different from each other! Yayyyyy!!! Isn’t life beautiful?! :D

Et l'autre week-end, en plus du stage avec Doris Von Thury, j’ai aussi eu le temps de passer des essais pour une nouvelle pièce de théâtre… Et de décrocher le rôle!! :))

Du coup maintenant je serai à l’affiche non pas d’un, mais de deux spectacles!!

Qui en plus sont très différents l’un de l’autre ! Yeahhhh !!!! Elle n’est pas belle la vie?! :D 

Workshop with Doris Von Thury: my English prom monologue

Last week-end, I participated in a very interesting and intense "Acting in English" workshop with American coach Doris Von Thury.

It's been really helpful as it was based not only on pronunciation, but really on how English people communicate. And on mid-Atlantic English, that is good to work either in England or in the USA, so now I'm ready for everything!! :D

At the end of it, we shot a short prom monologue. Mine is from "When Harry met Sally" (it's just version 1 as I still have to work on my English "r" and then shoot it again in one month). Enjoy!! :)

Le week-end passé, j'ai participé à un atelier très intéressant et intense avec la coach américaine Doris Von Thury sur comment jouer en anglais.

Ça a été vraiment très utile car le travail n'était pas seulement basé sur la prononciation, mais vraiment sur la façon de communiquer des anglais. Et sur l'anglais médio-atlantique, qui peut être utilisé pour jouer tant en Angleterre qu'aux Etats-Unis, maintenant je suis donc prête pour tout!! :D

A la fin du workshop, nous avons tourné un court monologue en anglais. Le mien est tiré de "Quand Harry rencontre Sally" (c'est seulement la version 1 car je dois encore travailler sur mon "r" anglais et puis le tourner à nouveau dans un mois). Enjoy!! :)

My first work of art ;)

As I told you, a couple of months ago for the first time in my life, and while I’ve always had two left hands, I had the desire of making "paintings".
And here it is, my 1^st completed "piece of art"! ;)
It's a painting composed of photos of Positano taken by myself, and that I offered to my uncle for his birthday. As he thinks, like me, that Positano is one of the most beautiful places in the world!
And for the title, it's a private joke I have with my uncle, coming from my childhood ;)

Comme je vous l'avais dit, pour la première fois de ma vie il y a quelques mois, et alors que j'ai toujours eu deux mains gauches, j'ai eu l'envie de réaliser des "tableaux".
Voici donc ma 1^ère "œuvre d'art" terminée! ;)
C'est un tableau composé de photos de Positano prises par moi, et que j’ai offert à mon oncle pour son anniversaire. Car lui, comme moi, pense que Positano est l’un de plus beaux endroits au monde!
Et pour la légende, c'est un private joke que j'ai avec mon oncle, venant de mon enfance ;)

Dico-tomie 2

And in order to start the week in a good way, here’s the 2^nd version of our short film "Dico-tomie"!

We shot "Dico-tomie 1" in 24 hours for a competition a year ago, and we won the 3rd prize. 

We then decided to shoot it again, taking this time a little more time to work on it...Bit I have to say I still prefer "Dico-tomie 1", I must be a sentimental person ;p

Et pour bien commencer la semaine, voici la 2^ème version de notre court-métrage "Dico-tomie"!

On avait tourné "Dico-tomie 1" en 24 heurs pour un concours il y a une année, et on avait gagné le 3^ème prix. Nous avons ensuite décidé de tourner le film à nouveau, en prenant cette fois plus de temps pour y travailler… Même si je dois avouer que je préfère "Dico-tomie 1", je dois être une personne sentimentale ;p

"Le speed dating de Benoit" : AXA corporate film in which I play

Here the corporate film for the insurance company AXA, in which I play an ecologist, slightly crazy woman. 

We shot the film a couple of months ago and it's now been released for Valentine's day <3

I had a lot of fun working on this film - it's a pity we can't see my complete scene... And the nicest thing is that the casting director found me on Internet, through an actor’s directory website, and asked me if I was interested in auditioning for the role...For once that work comes to me on its own! ;)

Voici le film institutionnel pour la compagnie d'assurances AXA dans lequel je joue une femme écologiste un peu fofolle.

Nous avons tourné le film il y a un moment et ça a été diffusé maintenant pour la Saint-Valentin,
avec le slogan "Adoptez un assureur pour la St Valentin" <3

Je me suis beaucoup amusé sur ce tournage - c'est dommage qu'on ne puisse pas voir ma scène en entier... Et la chose la meilleure c'est que le directeur de casting m'a trouvé sur Internet, à travers un annuaire d’acteurs, et m'a proposé de passer le casting pour le rôle...Pour une fois que le travail vient à moi tout seul! ;)

Not bad so far!

Pour le moment je suis 1ère au concours "Mon 7ème art" et être 1ère ça fait toujours plaisir!! :)

...En revanche, j'ai lu tout le règlement sans trouver la date de fin du concours, j'ai alors tout naturellement contacté les organisateurs car un concours infini ça n'a pas trop de sens... imaginez, on continue de voter et enfin quand j'aurais 90 ans, admis que je sois encore en vie, ils me donneront peut-être un rôle dans leur film!

Malheureusement ils m'ont répondu que pour le moment le site se fait connaitre et ensuite le public choisira le scénariste, puis le réalisateur et enfin les acteurs!

Ça va être long, long, long et qui sait si ça se fera finalement?!

Mais je suis quand même hyper contente d’être 1ère en ce moment! Merci! :D

For the time being, I'm the 1st one at the "Mon 7ème art" competition and to be 1st is always great!! :)

...But I've read all the rules without finding the end date of the competition, so I obviously contacted the organizers as an endless contest doesn’t make so much sense...can you imagine, we keep on voting and eventually when I'll be 90 years old, if I’m still alive, they may give me a role in the movie!

Unfortunately they replied that for the time being the website is trying to become well known and only after the public will choose the writer, then the director and finally the actors!

It's gonna be long, long, long and who knows if it's going to work eventually?!

But I'm still super happy to be the 1st one! Thank you! :D
