Le seul homme auquel je suis fidèle! // The only man I'm faithful to!

Arrivée à Rome avant hier, je me suis précipitée voir le seul homme auquel j'ai juré fidélité depuis mes 16 ans... Paride... mon coiffeur!!

Arrived in Rome the day before yesterday, I ran to see the only man to whom I swore loyalty since I was 16... Paride... my hairdresser!!
(I know it's a bit of a cliché-lol)!

Otherwise, as I don't have any job meeting until Monday, I spent my time with my sister, nephews, my friends... I'm not in Rome very often and every time it's such an organization to arrive to see everyone!!
I could also go shopping with my aunt (sales aren't over yet!!) and now I have beautiful, new shoes (I'll show them to you very soon, but now I forget them at my sister's) and to eat a real pizza!!

I gotta go now, my friends are waiting for me, we're going to see an exhibition of works from the Guggenheim's permanent collection, at Palazzo delle Esposizioni. I'll tell you how is it!
Have a good day everyone!!

LOL!

***********************************************************************************
I'd like to say that is not true... But unfortunately it is - especially the last box!! ;))

à la mairie de Montrouge! // In Montrouge's city hall!

Nouveau concours, nouveau film!!
*********************************************************************************
New competition, new movie!!
The theme: the absurd, instruction: to shoot with a mobile phone or a compact photo camera:
Actually we thought to shoot in double: with the IPhone and with the video camera in order to have better images and use the movie for other festivals as well, but as always the shooting took longer than expected so we couldn't!
The story takes place for the most in a police station, we could have an office in Montrouge's town hall, they've been really nice!
Ah! And for once I was playing a foreigner so my accent was perfect! ;))
We still have some scenes left, but the bulk is done!
But yesterday night I was tired I've not even been able to publish the pictures... So here they are now!
We check the last details, before going to the set.
A quick text's review! (for once we're not improvising!)
The director in the corner!...If not he doesn't have enough distance to film!

No, it wasn't cold outside without a jacket! ;)

A (almost) free week-end!

********************************************************************************
Finally a (almost) free week-end!! :) I was supposed to work again at Fouquet's actually, but they canceled! My social life benefited of that greatly, my bank account was less happy - lol!
Friday night a drink at a friend's place and then, despite the freezing cold (there was nobody in the streets!), we decided to go dancing and landed at Saints Pères. Not my favorite place, I must say, but we had fun! ;)

*********************************************************************************
Until 5 o'clock in the morning, therefore Saturday I was quite a zombie! I just had the courage to do some window-shopping near my place and at night go to Coffee Parisien with Paola for an hamburger - an urgent need for an hamburger took me in the afternoon...and at Coffee Parisien they're really good!
I said the week-end was almost free, as today I still had to work on a document for an Italian NGO I collaborate with. Once finished, I went to Maison Européenne de la Photographie, this is really a wonderful place if you like photography, as there were a couple of exhibitions I wanted to see, but the queue was so long I had to give up :( it's often like that on Sundays... At the same time it hasn't been so bad as that way I could study the dialogues for a new film we start shooting tomorrow with Jenny and Hervé.
And now I can't keep my eyes open... Good night everyone, sleep tight!

Casting d'aujourd'hui & soirée d'hier! // Today's casting & yesterday's night out!

Pull Monoprix, mitaines en paillettes H&M, boucles d'oreilles Agathe, bague Cartier.
Monoprix pull, H&M sequins fingerless gloves, Agathe earings, Cartier ring.
***********************************************************************
Yesterday I spent my day studying a text for today's casting.
And in the evening, in order to decompress, I had a little night out with my friend Paola, who's not at all in the movie business, but sometimes it's good to talk about something else! ;) First gossip and a glass of wine at Pershing Hall, one of my favorite places in Paris, it's so relaxing and cosy, and then sushi, in a very good place nearby we discovered just yesterday!
Now, I just got back from my casting that was for the pilot episode of a series, which seems really nice. First part of the casting the text... Unfortunately my idea of the characters was completely opposed to the director’s one... Second part improvisation, and that was really good, they had a lot of fun! I actually like to make people laugh! And I definitely prefer to improvise than playing a text, but I'm not sure that's a good thing... Anyway, I'll have an answer next week!
Have a good night everyone!
At least it's clear and not all the actors are going to ask the same questions to the production! ;)

Rencontre Kinoma with Jan Kounen and Stéphane Foenkinos

Stépahne Foenkinos
Rencontre Kinoma hier soir.
*************************************
Rencontre Kinoma yesterday night (it's a short-films evening). Things have a bit changed and now before the there is a masterclass with a professional. Yesterday even 2! The first one with director Jan Kounen and the second one with Stéphane Foenkinos, with whom later Jenny and I, fighting against our shyness, could have a little talk... We now just have to find his e-mail address to send him CV and photos before he forgets our faces! ;)
Jan Kounen
It was very interesting by the way to hear them discuss their career, the relationship with actors, the problems when producing a movie,... But it always seems these people end up working in movie business by chance... Why no one offers me a big role "by chance" while I'm queuing at the bakery to by my baguette?!
We also watched a short-film by David and Stéphane Foenkinos that told a first love date, but we saw only the characters' feet. It was really nice, a very good idea actually and so simple...
I wonder why we're laughing as the heating was broken and we were literally frozen!!!!

Fouquet's vu de l'interieur... // A glance inside Fouquet's

*********************************************************************************
Finally one day of freedom, after 3 days spent working as a hostess at Fouquet's (a famous, posh, Paris restaurant)!
I would never have thought to say this, but honestly to do sales events in the malls was less tiring...
Actually at Fouqet's one works from noon till 11pm with only a 30 minutes break in all day... Is this even legal by the way??
To be precise, on my contract it's said I should have a 42minutes break... Why 42?? And not 40 or 45...
Then, to be a hostess means you have to be in front of the door greeting the customers. Except that clients open the doors every 2 seconds and outside it's 10 degrees below zero and the poor hostess in her little, cotton outfit is completely frozen and is not even allowed to cover herself with a scarf!!
Actually everyone was frozen: customers were obliged to have lunch with their coats on as the restaurant wasn't enough heated... This is ridiculous by the way for a place like Fouquet's!! At the same time I wonder why clients didn't leave. I mean there are so many posh places nearby, like for instance the Pershing Hall, which is so nice! I was forced to stay, but they weren't!
And I also wonder why there are so many couples who don't say a word to each other for the whole meal..?!
That's the only nice thing about this job: one can observe people all day long, I love it!
There were also mice running among the tables... but when I pointed that out to the manager, he just replied "we're on the Champs Elysées, there are mice everywhere in here"... Bleah!!
In addition to that, Saturday there was a lunch for the Cesar's nominees, it was super frustrating!! If I knew it before, I don't think I would have accepted to work... All this people from the movie business, and I wasn't allowed to talk to them!! There was casting director Stéphane Foenkinos that I want to meet since so long... I should have said something to him, but my boss was just beside me... At the same time what they could have done to me? Fire me? I'm not even really employed....! Now I have regrets... I tried to communicate with him telepathically, but apparently it didn't work out...
Anyway it was too sad. Last time I saw Joey Starr for instance, it was at a production company's party to which we were both invited, while me before yesterday I was working at the wardrobe...
Well, I hope next time it'll be better! ;)
And to finish, I received my pay slip concerning last time I worked at Fouquet's and discovered the HR told me a wrong salary and I'm actually paid less than the hourly minimum wage... and I ask again, is this legal??
So after this horrible experience, today despite the cold and the snow I felt the need to go out and see my girlfriends! In my anti-freezing outfit! ;)
The mink hat was my beloved grandmother's!
Pull Uniqlo, short H&M, bottes Fornarina, manteau Comptoir des  Cotonniers, bagues H&M et Cartier, collier H&M.

Atelier avec Fabienne Bichet // Workshop with Fabienne Bichet

;)) *******************************************************************************
Yestardai I went to a very interesting workshop with casting director Fabienne Bichet. She was really nice and she explained us a lot of things about her/our job and we could really talk before we get to work. Of course after that we played a scene, Fabienne filmed us and showed us the result... and this is hard! ;)
At the end of the workshop, instead of having a drink with the rest of the group, I had to run to a job interview... that went very well, phew!! ;))

// The weirdest interview ever!

*********************************************************************************
It’s been 3 days that I’m locked up at home sending out CVs and looking for a job… No need to say that there are almost no part-time jobs available… Why??
At the same time, I must admit I’m not really collapsing under movies’ propositions right now… That I could almost accept a full-time job! ;)
The only moment I went out was for a job interview… The weirdest of my life!!
The national employment service sent me a job offer from a communication company (I won’t tell its name but it makes think more to a funeral company…) that was looking for an actress or a model to be a communications manager. Why they wanted an actress for that, I still don’t know… Anyway, as I worked in communications and I’m an actress, I perfectly fitted in so I was called for an interview.
Therefore, yesterday afternoon I go to a lost suburb, get down the train to go to my meeting, supposed to be 5 minutes walk from the station… 20 minutes later I was still walking, obviously in high heels, in the middle of nowhere…
I finally reach a small street with small houses. No offices… The man will explain later that he installed the company in his place as it’s cheaper this way…
I ring the bell and realize it’s broken… I’m so in the middle of nothing that my mobile phone has got no signal… Eventually, after 15 minutes, the boss of the company comes out (he has seen me by the window) and yell at me because I’m late…
This man, for your information, is wearing a plaid shirt, poop color, buttoned up to the neck and he also has a silver eagle with two small leather cords leading down to close the shirt…
He lets me in and opens a door showing a stairs leading to a sort of cellar… that’s where the office is… I have a moment of panic thinking he’s gonna beat me while going down the stairs and kidnap me… and at the same time I don’t how to refuse to go into the office… I choose a polite “After you, you know better the way down” thinking that at least he won’t be behind me in the stairs to attack me.
However, the office is truly downstairs.
He starts explaining me the job (by reading his papers if not he’s not able to explain it) : he had the idea to create a website to which actors, models, photographs and directors can register in order to work together on their projects… to register they have to pay 100€. I try to explain him that there are a lot of such websites yet… and they’re free! And that either he has Luc Besson among his contacts or no-one would register. But it’s like talking to a deaf!
The Communications Manager duty would have been to recruit artists to register to the website.
He also tells me that I would get a communications classes. I ask him which school would have given this course. What a question!! Himself, of course!!
He adds I could also work for some members’ projects therefore I would gain much more money. And then he asks me if I would be interested to make some naked photos for his book. I have kindly declined his offer…
Well at this point it’s more than one hour that I’m under the ground with such a fool, I can’t take it anymore so I begin telling him I’m not really interested in the job, so that I can get out… But no, he insists to fill my form.
The form in question is 4 pages long… The more stupid questions and totally unrelated to work are in it… We start with the classic ones: first name, last name, address… (everything is on my CV yet, but he wants to copy it anyway). As an illiterate would have written faster than him, I ask him to fill the form myself and there he screams: “No! It’s my duty to do that!” As I’m scared, I say nothing.
Then we arrive to questions like your favorite movie, music, favorite actress, travel… Who the hell cares??!! And we get to “do you prefer to meet boys in real life or through meetic?” I answer that this is personal and it has nothing to do with the job. He replies: “Ok, I’m gonna answer for you then, I check the meetic box”. Ehm… I’m speechless.
At the end of another 15 painful minutes, I finally say I have a meeting and I’m really sorry but I gotta go (it was yet more than 2 hours that I was there…). He insists he has to finish filling his stupid form, but at least he speeds up a little.
An after another 10 endless minutes I’m out! Safe, sound and shocked…!
What can I say… I think we won’t be working together?!
