Rencontrer les acteurs c'est notre métier...!? // To meet actors is our job...!?

Looking at an important Italian casting company’s website, into “to the actors” section it was written that to meet us is their job therefore we were invited to send them our CV and pictures by mail or, if in Rome, to stop by at the given hours.
I’m in Rome, I go!
I ring the bell.
Casting: “Who is it?”
Umberta: “I’m an actress. I saw on your website one could stop by in order to introduce himself and fill an application form”.
Casting: “Yes, but it’s not true!”
Umberta: “Pardon?”
Casting: “It is written in the website, but it’s not true. You have to send us your CV and pictures by e-mail first and only if we’re interested we’re gonna call you for a meeting”.
Umberta: “But I’m here now”.
Casting: “But it’s not useful anyway as we don’t take paper CV and pictures, we want everything in electronic format”.
She doesn’t know me, evidently! ;)
Umberta: “That’s perfect: I have a DVD with my CV and photos and also my showreel!”
At this point, she couldn’t do anything but let me in… She was also really kind. But still, it’s not possible actors are always mistreated and have to beg all the time! And then, why they say on their website they would be glad to meet actors when it’s not true??!!
