"Le speed dating de Benoit" : AXA corporate film in which I play

Here the corporate film for the insurance company AXA, in which I play an ecologist, slightly crazy woman. 

We shot the film a couple of months ago and it's now been released for Valentine's day <3

I had a lot of fun working on this film - it's a pity we can't see my complete scene... And the nicest thing is that the casting director found me on Internet, through an actor’s directory website, and asked me if I was interested in auditioning for the role...For once that work comes to me on its own! ;)

Voici le film institutionnel pour la compagnie d'assurances AXA dans lequel je joue une femme écologiste un peu fofolle.

Nous avons tourné le film il y a un moment et ça a été diffusé maintenant pour la Saint-Valentin,
avec le slogan "Adoptez un assureur pour la St Valentin" <3

Je me suis beaucoup amusé sur ce tournage - c'est dommage qu'on ne puisse pas voir ma scène en entier... Et la chose la meilleure c'est que le directeur de casting m'a trouvé sur Internet, à travers un annuaire d’acteurs, et m'a proposé de passer le casting pour le rôle...Pour une fois que le travail vient à moi tout seul! ;)

Pour le moment je suis 1ère au concours "Mon 7ème art" et être 1ère ça fait toujours plaisir!! :)

...En revanche, j'ai lu tout le règlement sans trouver la date de fin du concours, j'ai alors tout naturellement contacté les organisateurs car un concours infini ça n'a pas trop de sens... imaginez, on continue de voter et enfin quand j'aurais 90 ans, admis que je sois encore en vie, ils me donneront peut-être un rôle dans leur film!

Malheureusement ils m'ont répondu que pour le moment le site se fait connaitre et ensuite le public choisira le scénariste, puis le réalisateur et enfin les acteurs!

Ça va être long, long, long et qui sait si ça se fera finalement?!

Mais je suis quand même hyper contente d’être 1ère en ce moment! Merci! :D

For the time being, I'm the 1st one at the "Mon 7ème art" competition and to be 1st is always great!! :)

...But I've read all the rules without finding the end date of the competition, so I obviously contacted the organizers as an endless contest doesn’t make so much sense...can you imagine, we keep on voting and eventually when I'll be 90 years old, if I’m still alive, they may give me a role in the movie!

Unfortunately they replied that for the time being the website is trying to become well known and only after the public will choose the writer, then the director and finally the actors!

It's gonna be long, long, long and who knows if it's going to work eventually?!

But I'm still super happy to be the 1st one! Thank you! :D

Welcome to the 80's

Et me voilà au début du film en jeune mère dans les années 80!

Première fois où j'ai un enfant dans un film, ça change. Et jouer avec des enfants c'est très intéressant.

Avec les cheveux si vaporeux et bouclés, je semble un personnage d'un des sitcoms américaines que je regardais gamine! ;)

Et là j'attends que la post prod se termine pour voir le résultat final, avant que le film ne commence son parcours dans les festivals, en espérant qu'il remporte plein de prix!

And here I am, at the beginning of the movie, as a young mother in the 80s!

First time I have a child in a film, it changes. And to play with children is very interesting.

With the hairs so vaporous and curly, I look like one of the characters from the American sitcoms I watched when I was a child! ;) 

And now I wait for the post-production to end in order to see the final result, before the movie starts its journey through the festivals, hoping it's gonna win a lot of prizes!

Getting older...

Comme je vous l'avais dit, le week-end passé je jouais dans un court-métrage. Entre le début et la fin de l'histoire presque 30 s’écroulaient. Du coup à la fin du film j'étais censée avoir une 50aine d'années : après plus d'une heure passée au maquillage et beaucoup de latex sur mon visage - pour info le latex a une odeur horrible de poisson périmé!! - voici le résultat!
C’était bizarre de me voir comme ça, avec des rides et tout!
Et enlever la fausse peau le premier jour ça a était marrant, et un peu douloureux, j'avais l'impression d’être Tom Cruise dans Mission Impossible! ;)
Et demain les photos du debut du film, dans un parfait style années 80!

As I told you, last week-end I was playing in a short film. Between the beginning and the end of the story almost 30 years passed. Therefore at the end of the movie I was supposed to be around 50 years old : after more than one hour spent at the make up and a lot of latex on my face - for your information latex smells horrible, like stale fish!! - here's the result!
It was weird to see myself like this, with wrinkles and all!
And to take off the fake skin on the first day was kind of fun, even though a bit painful, I felt like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible! ;)
And tomorrow the pictures of the beginning of the movie, in a perfect 80's style!

2013's gonna rock!!!!

Me voilà de retour!!!

Ça a été une longue absence, mais les derniers mois ont été si pleins que je n’ai même pas eu le temps d’écrire deux lignes…

Mais tout ce travail a porté ses fruits : le taux de succès des objectifs que je m’étais préfixé à la rentrée à accomplir avant la fin de l’année est de… 100%!!!!!

Objectif 1 : Trouver un agent sur Paris => c’est désormais chose faite!

Et, ce qui ne gâche rien, mon agent est même sympa! Franchement je ne pouvais pas mieux trouver! :)

Objectif 2 : Jouer au théâtre… Et bien, vous pourrez me voir bientôt sur les planches dans la comédie "Pour quelques centimètre de neige"!!!! On commence les répétitions la semaine prochaine et j’ai trop hâte!!!

Et pour finir ce week-end tournage d’un court-métrage plutôt ambitieux. Je serai tellement transformé pour jouer mon rôle que je pense que vous allez pas me reconnaitre!

Bref, je dirais que 2013 ne pouvait pas mieux commencer!! :D

Alors soyons ambitieux! Objectifs pour 2013 : cinéma et un petit prix (ou un grand prix ;p)! Ah oui! Et travailler aussi en Italie! Et déjà qu’on y est un agent à Londres ça ne me déplairait pas non plus ! ;)

I’m back !!!

It’s been like forever, but the last months have been so full that really I couldn’t even write two lines…

But to work hard has been successful: the achievement rate for the goals I set on September to accomplish by the end of the year is… 100%!!!!!!

Goal 1: To find an agent in Paris => done!

And in addition to that, my agent is also a very nice person! Honestly, I couldn’t find better! :)

Goal 2: To work in a theatre play… Well, you will be able to see me on stage soon in the play "Pour quelque centimètre de neige"!!!!

Rehearsals are starting next week and I can’t wait!!!!

And finally this week-end I’m gonna work in a pretty ambitious short film. I’m gonna be so transformed to play the role that I think you won’t be able to recognize me!

I really must say 2013 couldn’t start better!! :D

So let’s be ambitious! 2013 goals: cinema and a little prize (or a big one ;p)! And yes, I’d like to work in Italy too! And I wouldn’t mind to find an agent in London either! ;)

2 days in London

Comme je vous l'avais dit, le week-end passé il y a eu la projection du film "Le stagiaire, le trader et la secrétaire" dans lequel je joue.

Malheureusement, je n'ai pas pu y être présente car j'avais déjà prévu un petit week-end à Londres, mais je dois dire que malgré la tristesse de rater la projection, j'ai été bien contente de retourner à Londres après plusieurs mois d'absence, de profiter de la ville, de flâner dans les marchés (Brick lane, Portobello, Camden,...), d'aller à Tate Modern, où je découvre toujours des installations très intéressantes, et de voir mes amis qui habitant là-bas :D

As I told you, last week-end there was the screening of "Le stagiare, le trader et la sécretaire" the movie I play in.

Unfortunately, I couldn't be there as I already planned a week-end in London, but I must say that despite the sadness of missing the screening, I was glad to go back to London after several months of absence and enjoy the city, stroll through the markets (Brick lane, Portobello, Camden,...), to go to Tate Modern, where I always discover new interesting exhibitions, and see my friends living there :D

Et ici mes photos du tournage de "Le stagiaire, le trader et la secrétaire", le film que nous avons réalisé dans le cadre du 48h film project.

Evidemment ça ne vaut pas les photos que je vous ai montré hier vu que ce n'est pas le photographe de plateau qui les a prises, mais juste moi et mon iPhone ;p

Sinon le film sera projecté au cinéma Action Christine à Paris le Samedi 20 octobre à 16h et Dimanche 21 octobre à 18h (mais je vous le rappelerai plus tard! ;p)

Obviously it's not worth the pictures I showed you yesterday as it's not the stage photographer who took them, but just me and my iPhone ;p

Otherwise, the movie will be projected at the Action Christine cinema in Paris on Saturday the 20^th of October at 4pm and Sunday the 21^st at 6pm (but I'll remind you later! ;p)

And after 14 hours of shooting I also had the courage of going out for a drink with my bf... but the only thing I could drink was a diet coke! (even though the basil mojito looked good!)

Comme beaucoup d'acteurs et techniciens de cinéma, le week-end passé j'ai participé au 48h film project. Un concours international qui consiste à faire un film en 48 heures avec un thème, une ligne de dialogue, un objet et un personnage imposés.

Nous devions réaliser un film western avec comme personnage principale un trader... pas évident, mais pari réussi! ;)

Ça a été un tournage super, avec une équipe très sympa et une très bonne ambiance sur le plateau! Je suis vraiment contente de cette expérience! :)

Et en attendant de pouvoir vous montrer le film, voici quelques photos de tournage!

As many actors and technicians working in cinema, last week-end I took part in the 48h film project. An international competition consisting in making a movie in 48 hours using a  given character, line of dialogue, genre and prop. 

We had to make a western movie with a trader as the lead character... not obvious, but we made it! ;)

It's been a great shooting, with a very nice team and a good atmosphere on the set!

I'm really happy of this experience! :)

And while waiting to be able to show you the movie, here's some pictures from the set!
