Into the blue

I don't know when exactly Paris turned into the-city-with-the-worst-weather-in-the-world...But here we are: it's winter again. Seriously. And I see only one solution to cheer up: to dive into the blue Mediterranean water. Virtually. Luckily I still have some pictures from Positano I didn't have the time to show you (I know I'm very bad in managing my time lately, but our debut is in one week and I've got a lot of rehearsal plus my side job). And I'm gonna begin with pictures of the sea. The most beautiful thing, in my opinion, of the Amalfi Coast is all the little rocky inlets that can be reached only by boat. If you go there, I really suggest you to rent a boat for one day, as it's absolutely amazing.

Je ne sais pas quand exactement Paris s'est transformée dans la ville-avec-la-pire-météo-au-monde...Mais voilà en gros c'est déjà à nouveau l'hiver. Vraiment. Et je ne vois qu'une seule solution pour nous remonter le moral : plonger dans l'eau bleue de la Méditerranée. Virtuellement. Heureusement j'ai encore des photos de Positano, que je n'ai pas eu le temps de vous montrer (je sais, je suis très mauvaise en gestion du temps dernièrement, mais j'ai une pièce qui débute dans une semaine, donc beaucoup de répétitions, plus mon boulot alimentaire). Et je vais bien sur commencer avec les photos de la mer. La chose la plus belle à mon avis de la cote Amalfitaine ce sont toutes les petites criques, joignables uniquement par bateau. Si vous êtes dans le coin, je vous conseille vivement de louer un bateau pendent une journée, c'est vraiment magnifique.

That's what we do everyday wit my aunt and my uncle: going up and down the coast.

C'est ça qu'on fait tous les jours avec mon oncle et ma tante: on sillonne la cote.

This is the Furore fjord. One can't enter with the boat only by swimming, that is what we did. There's a small beach inside and a little village, you can see some houses at the bottom of the picture.
Plus it's here, from the bridge, that the world high dive championship takes place.

If you're anything like me and get bored sunbathing, you'll enjoy swimming and snorkeling as well, there are plenty of fishes (not the colored, tropical ones, but still), coral and starfishes.

Si vous êtes comme moi et vous vous ennuyez en faisant la bronzette, vous trouverez votre bonheur en nageant et faisant de la plongée: il y a plein de poissons (pas les poissons tropicaux colorés, mais quand même), corail et étoiles de mer.

I'm also a bit like a child when at the sea, and my boyfriend is worst than me, so we end up playing around all day long.

Je suis un peu comme un enfant quand je suis à la mer, et mon copain est pire que moi, du coup on joue toute la journée.

And at the end of the afternoon, I think we all deserved a little pause and an iced coffee! :)

Et en fin d'après-midi, je pense qu'une petite pause et un café glacé sont bien mérites! :)

Bienvenu Urban Outfitters

Since early September, a corner Urban Outfitters settled down in Galeries Lafayette, Paris. It's a pop up store which should disappear within five months, but whatever. As an unconditional fan of this concept store, the news pleases me no less! And if the choice is of course limited, there are nice fashion and home inspirations! 
Yesterday night, being a good client, I was invited to the opening night: a DJ, good music, a sharp selection of clothing, makeup and decorative objects, a tattoo corner, a bar serving a very tasteful beer brewed in Brooklyn, and even a souvenir bag full of little gifts from Urban Outfitters... What more could a girl ask for? :)

Depuis début septembre un corner Urban Outfitters s'est installé aux Galeries Lafayette, Paris. Il s'agit d'un pop up store qui devrait disparaître d'ici 5 mois, mais que importe. En fan inconditionnée de ce concept store, la nouvelle ne me réjouit pas moins! Et si le choix et bien évidemment limité, on trouve de jolies inspirations mode et déco!
Hier soir, étant une cliente fidèle, j'étais invitée à la soirée d'ouverture : un dj, de la bonne musique, une sélection pointue de vêtements, maquillages et objets déco, un coin tatouages, un bar servant de la bonne bière brassée à Brooklyn, et même un sac souvenir plein de petits cadeaux Urban Outfitters... Que demander de plus les filles? :)

Présentation de scène : The bill

Last week we had a photo shoot for the bill of the play "Présentation de scène". And here's the result:

La semaine passée a eu lieu la séance photo pour l'affiche de la pièce "Présentation de scène". Et voici le résultat :

It was really nice to finally meet some of the other actors working on this project. As the show consists of different scenes, we do not rehearse all together, but it was starting to be a little weird not knowing each other, especially as the show approaches, less than two weeks, I can't wait!
From the end of this week, we're gonna begin the run-throughs, so I will meet also the actors who weren't at the photo shoot and above all I'll be able to watch the entire play. I'm too curious!! ;)

C'était très sympa de rencontrer enfin certains des autres acteurs travaillant sur le projet. Comme le spectacle est composé de différentes scènes, nous ne répétons pas tous ensemble, mais ça commençait à être un peu bizarre de ne pas connaitre les autres, surtout que le spectacle approche, moins de deux semaines, j'ai hâte!
A partir de la fin de la semaine, nous allons commencer les filages, du coup je rencontrerai aussi les acteurs qui n'étaient pas à la séance photo et surtout je pourrai voir la pièce en entier! Je suis trop curieuse!! ;)

Today we watch : Jeune & jolie

J'avais très envie de voir "Jeune & jolie", le nouveau film de François Ozon. J'en avais beaucoup entendu parler, en général j'aime bien ses films, et je voulais me faire ma propre idée.

Et puis je voulais voir Marine Vacth: je suis toujours très curieuse de voir ce que font les actrices de ma génération, comment elles abordent un rôle, la façon dont elles construisent un personnage, je réfléchis aussi beaucoup à ce que j'aurais fait moi si on m'avait proposé le même rôle.

Et bien je n'ai pas été déçue! Le sujet du film est certes dur, une adolescente qui décide de se prostituer sans raison apparente et sans être dans le besoin, et les scènes de sexe nombreuse et plutôt crues, mais aussi joliment, presque esthétiquement je dirais, filmées. Avec de belles lumières. Ce qui ne rend pas le film vulgaire à mon avis. Marine Vacth est aussi très fine et gracieuse, ce qui aussi contribue à éloigner toute vulgarité. Et elle arrive à nous faire rentrer complètement dans son monde. Sans toutefois nous donner aucune explication sur son comportement. Est-ce qu'elle-même sait pourquoi elle se comporte ainsi? Rien n'est moins sûr. Et c'est là qui réside tout l'intérêt du film: aucune raison, aucun jugement de valeur, juste un fragment de vie raconté. Et à la fin tout est encore possible, est-ce qu'elle va recommencer, arrêter, se sauver? A chaque spectateur son idée. Pourquoi elle est entrée dans la prostitution? Chacun peut interpréteur le film à sa façon, ou pas. Vous êtes libres.

Néanmoins, j'ai entendu à la sortie des spectateurs qui avaient détesté le film; je pense qu'au même temps c'est un film que soit on aime soit on déteste, mais qui ne peut pas laisser les gens entre les deux, indifférentes. Et tant mieux à mon avis.

Dans la deuxième partie du film quelques répliques drôles, venant surtout du beau-père, détendent un peu l'atmosphère. Cependant, je trouve que ce personnage n'est pas assez approfondi.

Et enfin Charlotte Rampling, elle n'arrive qu'à la fin, mais dès qu'elle apparaît à l'écran on ne voit plus qu'elle! Et quelle classe!

I really wanted to see "Jeune & jolie," the new film by François Ozon. I had heard a lot about it, I usually like his movies, and I wanted to make my own idea.

And then I wanted to see Marine Vacth: I'm always curious to see what actresses of my generation do, how they approach a role, how they build a character, I think also about what I would have done if I was offered the same role.

Well, I've not been disappointed! The subject of the film is certainly hard, a teenager who decides to prostitute herself apparently for no reason and without being in need, and there are many and crude sex scenes, but they're nicely, I'd say almost aesthetically, filmed. With beautiful lights. And that's why the movie isn't vulgar, in my opinion. Marine Vacth is also very elegant and graceful, which also helps to keep away any vulgarity. And she totally brings us into her world. Without giving us any explanation for her behavior. Does she know why she behaves this way? Nothing is less sure. And here is all the interest of this film: no reason, no value judgment, just a fragment of life. And at the end everything is still possible, is she going to start again, to stop, to be saved? Each viewer can have his idea. Why did she get into prostitution? Everyone can understand the film in his own way, or not. You are free.

However, at the end of the film, I heard some spectators saying they hated the movie; I guess it is a film one either loves or hates, but one can't be indifferent. And this is also better, in my opinion.

In the second part of the film, some funny replies, especially from the stepfather, relax the atmosphere a bit. However, I think this character is not detailed enough.

Finally Charlotte Rampling, she only arrives at the end of the movie, but as soon as she appears on the screen she eclipses everyone else! And what a class!
