A real theatre

The last two days, we were rehearsing at the theatre. It's a quite big theatre - 400 seats - located in Thiais, a suburb of Paris. And it's a real theatre, with a real big stage, several artists' dressing rooms and everything... Ok, it should be normal, but actually in Paris I'm used to play and see my friends play in small theaters, about 50 seats, with a teeny tiny stage, that sometimes is not even a proper one, and while you play you can see the public...So now I'm all excited to perform in this big theatre!! :)

Les deux derniers jours, nous avons répété au théâtre. C'est un théâtre plutôt grand - 400 places – qui se trouve à Thiais, dans la banlieue de Paris. Et c'est un vrai théâtre, avec une  vraie scène, des loges, et tout et tout... Ok, ça devrait être normal, mais en fait à Paris, je suis habituée à jouer et voir mes amis jouer dans de petits théâtres, environ 50 places, avec une scène minuscule, qui parfois n'en est même pas réellement une, et pendant qu'on joue on voit le public… Donc là je suis tout excitée de jouer dans ce grand théâtre! :)

However being outside Paris makes it difficult to bring in people from the business, as indeed they are very requested so they aren't willing to go too far (ok, Thiais is not even so far, it's just 30 minutes from Paris).

But for example, I met a casting director a couple of weeks ago who was interested in seeing me play, but when I told him that my next show was in Thais, he replied he couldn't come.

Anyway, one can't have everything and I can't wait for tomorrow to come!

The only problem is that the theater was so cold that now I'm sick and I have sore throat, so I'm taking medications since two days and I hope so much to be fine by tomorrow!

En revanche, le fait d'être en dehors de Paris rend difficile de faire venir de personnes du milieu, en effet comme ils sont très demandés ils ont du mal à se déplacer loin (ok Thiais ce n'est pas non plus loin, c'est à 30 minutes de Paris).

Mais par exemple, j'ai rencontré un directeur de casting il y a quelques semaines qui était intéressé à me voir jouer, mais quand je lui ai dit que mon prochain spectacle était à Thiais, il m'a dit qu'il ne pouvait pas venir.

En tout cas, on ne peut pas tout avoir et j'ai trop hâte qu'il soit demain!

Le seul problème c'est que le théâtre était si froid que maintenant je suis malade et j'ai mal à la gorge, donc depuis deux jours je prends des médicaments et j'espère tellement d'être bien d'ici demain!
